Compassion in Action | Backpack Care Kits

Volunteering Project

Current Project:
Backpack Care Kits

We are currently working on a small outreach project focused on providing practical care items to people in our community.

This project is simple, hands-on, and built around real everyday needs.

The Project

Backpack Care Kits

We have prepared 24 backpacks that will be distributed during outreach.

Each backpack includes practical items such as:

Baby Wipes
Socks
Basic Hygiene Items
Seasonal Items for Warmth

These are items that can be used right away, without needing access to a shower or other facilities.

Why This Matters

Many people do not have reliable access to showers or laundry—especially during the winter months.

Because of that, we’ve focused on items that help with daily hygiene and comfort, not just emergency situations.

Simple things like clean socks and wipes can make a real difference.

What We’ve Learned

As we’ve worked on this project, we’ve tried to focus on what is actually useful in day-to-day life.

Rather than building kits around ideal situations, we’ve chosen items that can be used:

  • anywhere
  • at any time
  • without needing extra resources

This approach helps make sure the items don’t just get carried—but actually get used.

Get In Touch

If you have questions, ideas, or would like to support this project, feel free to reach out.

“We want to, but we can’t — we don’t have a bag.”

This care kit project was inspired by that simple reply when someone was offered a Bible.
